Have you already gained experience on classic ski tours and would now like to tackle high alpine summit destinations? In this course, we offer you the chance to gain a solid introduction to the world of 3000 and 4000 metre peaks in a small group.
This experience is only suitable for you if you are a ski tourer.

You can plan simple ski mountaineering tours yourself and, depending on your personal fitness, take part in intermediate to challenging guided ski mountaineering tours, e.g. Three 4000-metre peaks in Valais, special tour on Friday, level 3 ski touring days in various areas.
Day 1
Individual arrival in Andermatt, welcome by the mountain guide at the meeting point and programme briefing. Afterwards you will travel together by private car, mountain school bus or train to Realp. Ascent to the Rotondo hut at 2570 metres. On the way you will have the opportunity to deepen your knowledge of the course. (Distance: 8 km, walking time: 4 h, ascent/descent: 1000 m).
Day 2 + 3
The peaks around the Rotondo hut offer ideal practice terrain. You will be able to put your theoretical knowledge directly into practice and acquire a sound knowledge of all aspects of ski mountaineering in a short space of time. Possible destinations are Witenwasserenstock, Rotällihorn or the round tour over the Läcki Pass. (Distance: 5-8 km, walking time: 4-6 h, ascent: up to 1000 metres).

Our mountain guide will bring the ordered hire equipment to the agreed meeting point. The following equipment can be hired from us:
- Glacier set (rope harness, crampons, ice axe)
- Safety set (incl. Barryvox S2)
Please note that the rucksack with the equipment should not weigh more than 8 to 10 kg (crampons, ice axe, rope harness weigh around 1.5 kg).
